Heather Gold is a contemporary figurative artist based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Figure Drawing from James Madison University in 2019 and expanded her formal training through immersive drawing and painting studies in Southern France.
Gold’s work centers on the female form, exploring the relationship between strength and softness, sensuality and presence. Working primarily in oil, her practice is rooted in classical figure drawing while embracing a modern, intuitive approach to color, composition, and expression. The result is work that feels both intimate and powerful—celebrating the body not simply as a subject, but as a vessel for emotion, confidence, and connection.
In 2025, Gold exhibited during Miami Art Week, marking an important expansion of her work into a broader contemporary art market. In early 2026, she established her studio at The Void in Virginia Beach, a distinctive creative space home to a community of women-owned businesses and independent creatives. From her studio, Gold continues to develop original bodies of work and create private commissions for collectors.
Her practice has also expanded beyond the canvas through The Golden Muse Paint Experience—an immersive extension of her artistry. Gold approaches each event much like a work of art itself, thoughtfully curating the setting, music, visual details, and atmosphere to create an evening that feels entirely its own. More than a traditional paint night, each experience is designed to transport guests outside of the ordinary—whether for a memorable date night, a night out with friends, or simply an opportunity to experience art differently.
For Gold, the art is not limited to what leaves on the canvas. It is the entire experience.
